This is my collection of knowledge on baby animals I have been blessed to foster, teach basic survival skills and finally introduce to the wild.
Well we got a new rescue bunny a couple days ago. This is Hopps! Debby found him on her porch after her dog Milo had found him in her yard after mowing. He only drinking formula right now but I'll soon introduce dandelion leaves to his diet.
The bunnies are about 3weeks old now and I started them on dandelion leaves and then added clover leaves the following day. They still drink formula in the morning and at night but I bring them greens constantly throughout the day.

The baby bunnies are doing well. They don't have their eyes open yet but they have started sitting up and trying to explore. I've moved then to a larger box to keep them from hopping out and I keep them in a temp controlled room at 75°. I feed them 4-5 times a day and check for dehydration durring each feeding. Gently pinching the skin up on their shoulders, if the skin stays pinched up they're dehydrated. If this happens I slip in a few extra mins of feeding.
Two mornings ago I get a nock on my door. It was my neighbor holding a wal-mart bag. He quickly explained that he had found these little guys in his yard and was afraid his dog would eat them. I fell in love with them instantly and quickly gathered a box, a heater, an old t-shirt and a fur skin. Once they were warm I jumped in the truck with my 2 year old to go get kitten milk replacer and a small carton of heavy whipping cream. I use about 1/2 tsp of cream to 2tbs of milk replacer. I've never cared for bunnies this young before so I've had to do a lil extra research on hand feeding newborn rabbit kits.

These two baby bunnies were brought to me after there nest was destroyed by a lawn mower. Iv never raised bunnies so little before but I guess there's a first time for everything.

Jay is doing fine. He made it a habit of eating breakfast with us some mornings. Like all males tho, he found a lovely girl Jay and are now raising chicks in the next door neighbor's tree.

This is lil Jay! Something killed his mom and 2 nest mates but with a lil help he will soon be a healthy blue jay.

Squeak returned several times to bathe in the dogs water bowl and take bird naps on my lap before finally joining the other robins for good.

This is our robin squeak! He flew south for the winter 2 years ago. He was raised here and successfully returned to the wild.
