“I love dogs but I could never foster because I’d get too attached.”

We hear this all the time.

And the truth is, you do get attached. Every single time.

But what I’ve learned since starting to foster last October is that saying goodbye is actually what makes room for the next dog who needs us.

Saying goodbye is what allows each dog to find their happily ever after.

Every dog you see in this video was once sitting in a loud, stressful shelter. They were overwhelmed, overlooked, and some even labeled as “bad” or “aggressive.”

And yet, once they were given the chance to decompress and experience love and safety, they went on to become someone’s best friend.

That’s what this work is all about - giving these innocent creatures a second (sometimes third 😆) chance at joy and freedom. Because humans are the only ones who can deliver that for them.

And now, @prowe96 and I are ready to do more.

So we’re raising funds to build/purchase a small kennel on our property so we can take a few more dogs at a time - getting them out of the shelter and into a space where they can finally exhale, heal, and have a real shot at a better outcome.

If this touched your heart, we would be so grateful for your support - whether that’s donating, sharing, or simply following along on our journey.

We quite literally can’t do this without you!

If you’d like to donate to this project, you can find the fundraising link in my bio, or DM me for different payment options.

Thanks so much! 🐾💜

Can you be a beacon of hope for Lucky, a truly remarkable dog rescued from Death Row, by offering a temporary sanctuary for a few days as we navigate a strategic partnership with a German Shepherd Rescue organization to ensure Lucky receives tailored care, given that her current foster is facing a time-sensitive challenge due to an upcoming international trip, and can you help bridge this gap by providing a secure and nurturing environment for Lucky to flourish for a short period?

Can everyone help welcome Ms Ginny to the MARF FAMILY !

Several weeks ago I received a text from one of our amazing Board Members. She told me about Ginny. She knew her story was exactly the type of furbaby that defines our mission. She was right for the most part. Labeled as a “bully breed” dealing with issues not at all related to her breed but her history. MARFs Mission Statement is focused on those pups misunderstood by label or other reasons. The big difference for Ginny is that most of our pups are the babies most of our society has given up on.
In Ginny’s case Toby's Rescue by no means had given up on her nor stopped believing in her. Ginny has a huge fan club including Toby’s her current foster and soon to be furever home. Sometimes it’s a simple connection that can change everything. Toby’s needed the resources we have available based on our mission in Rescue!

Marf is so excited to welcome Ms Ginny into the MARF Family and be the part of her next step in her journey to Happy Tails. Thank you to so many people that have helped along the way and continued to believe in her. Special thanks to Nicole N Wayde for connecting us that allowed us to change Ginny’s direction and bring her to her furever home!
