HELP FOR HOUSING. Richland County's Office of Community Development is making homeownership a reality for local, income-eligible families through its Homeownership Assistance Program. Get insight on the process by attending an upcoming workshop. These workshops also provide qualifying residents with a deferred forgivable loan of up to $24,500 to help with down payment and closing costs!

Community Development’s next homeownership workshop is at 6 p.m. Tuesday, April 28 in the Sheriff’s Department Annex at County Central Court, 2500 Decker Blvd., Columbia. Registration opens at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 1. This workshop will feature insight and info on home financing from mortgage lender Earnest Haynes.
