These are the words which I wish I told my postpartum self more.

That's right. After birth, leaving the hospital and coming home, it's so easy to just put on a load of washing or tidy the mess that the other children have made.

But what most mothers often forget is that it is also a time to take care of oneself. So whilst you can do anything you put your mind to, you also need to remember to allow time to REST, HEAL and BOND with the fresh little babe you've just brought home.
