Had a great day with my Hives for Heroes mentee inspecting hives and enjoying dinner with my newest apiary host and her son.

I have the best apiary host ever! I owed Gabriel pizza for helping me expand the electric fence the day before, and my Hives for Heroes mentee and I had just finished inspecting 3 rooftop colonies (very tall porch that the bears can't climb onto). We had just enough time to grab pizza and show her my newest apiary before it got dark. It was a wonderful evening enjoying new friendships and amazing pizza as we watched the bees grab one last drink before sunset. Thanks Tamara and Gabriel, I look forward to some amazing mountain honey from your yard.
