Dear clients and friends! Big NEWS!
Retouch Salon has relocated to a new space in Colorado Springs! We had been in our current location for nearly 15 years and it had served us well, but our building was older and in need of a lot of repair. Fortunately, a space become available that will meet our current and future needs for years to come.

Here are the details:
Our new space is located at: 7610 N Union Blvd. Suite 135. Colorado Springs, 80920.
We moved on May 1st, and all scheduled appointments after that date will be at the new location! The new building has some great features that we are so happy about. We will be located in a prime, easily accessible area with ample parking available for our clients!

If you have any additional questions, don’t hesitate to reach out! Just remember, ALL APPOINTMENTS will be in our new location at: 7610 N Union suite 135

It is with such pain and sorrow that our Salon family says goodbye to Gail Montoya. On Saturday she was taken from this world to join her Mother and Father in heaven. Gail was more than a stylist. She was a friend, family, laughter, joy and a bright light in the lives of all she meet. She left this world much too soon but will never be forgotten. We wish to offer our condolences to her clients, friends and family. Please feel free to share your stories or memories of Gail on our page.

We have had so many wonderful clients who are feeling the effects of "Covid hair". I felt it is important to post some info that might help to explain hair loss.

Unfortunately, we don't know all the effects Covid has on hair. Telogen effluvium is the most common. Hair has 4 life cycles. The first is the anagen; the hair follicle forms a new hair shaft. The second is catagen; the hair stops growing and is cut off from the blood supply. The third is telogen; the hair remains in the follicle but does not actively grow. The fourth is exogen; the hair is released from the follicle and falls out.

Trauma, rapid weight loss, sickness, hormone changes, thyroid issues, and stress can all cause the hair to skip to the exogen stage prematurely. It usually takes 3 to 6 months for a new life cycle to begin again.

Retouch Salon is doing a toy drive for foster kiddos. We have 250 tags to fill before Dec 12th. There are no specific items on the tags so you are welcome to gift whatever you want. 😊

We will be doing another toy drive for Hope and Home foster kids this year. Last year we gathered over 200 gifts. This year I am hoping to beat that number with atleast 250 gifts. I know we can do it. If you are wanting to help a kiddo, stop by and grab a tag. Gifts must be in by December 14th. ❤

Retouch Salon will be reopening on May 1st. We are so excited to see all our friends and clients. That being said, the following procedures will be followed to ensure the safety of our clients and our stylists.

1. Clients and stylists will be required to wear masks.
2. Clients will be asked to wash hands upon entry.
3. Client temperatures will be taken before being seated.
4. Only clients with appts will be allowed in the Salon. No walk-ins.
5. Please call or text us when you arrive for appt, stay in your vehicle and we will come out to get you.
6. Only 10 will be allowed at one time.
7. 6 feet social distancing between clients will be maintained.
8. All equipment, chairs, capes, towels, shears, combs, etc. Will be cleaned, changed and disinfected with EPA approved disinfectants between each client.
9. Every surface of the Salon has been cleaned, disinfected and/or painted to insure zero contamination.
10. Any client or stylist with symptoms of Covid-19 or exposure to someone with Covid-19 will have to reschedule to a later date.
11. Stylists have taken refresher courses in sanitation procedures and employee meetings on safety procedures have been done.

We will not be able to hug or shake hands, but be assured we are so happy to see you all.
