My name is Andrea and I am with National Alliance on Mental Illness. I wanted to let everyone know that there is a free program called Basics that NAMI offers beginning October 13th for parents/caregivers of school-aged children who are experiencing behavioral issues or mental health conditions. It is a six week course that builds on itself each week and offers parents information on early diagnosis and intervention, treatment methods and how to develop strategies for caring for their child as well as themselves. Please feel free to share this! If any parents are interested, they’ll need to register by calling the NAMI office at 719-473-8477.
