Meet Natasha from Uganda, St. Baldrick’s first International Ambassador.
This 13-year-old loves school, puzzles, reading, and playing netball (like basketball). Her favorite foods are pork and African plantains.
Natasha was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia (AML) in April 2019 and treated at the Uganda Cancer Institute where Dr. Joseph Lubega, St. Baldrick’s International Scholar, was one of her doctors. Today, she is cancer-free.

Madam C.J. Walker (born Sarah Breedlove; December 23, 1867 – May 25, 1919) was an African American entrepreneur, philanthropist, and political and social activist. She is recorded as the first female self-made millionaire in America in the Guinness Book of World Records.
Walker made her fortune by developing and marketing a line of cosmetics and hair care products for black women through the business she founded, Madam C. J. Walker Manufacturing Company. She became known also for her philanthropy and activism. She made financial donations to numerous organizations and became a patron of the arts. Villa Lewaro, Walker's lavish estate in Irvington, New York, served as a social gathering place for the African-American community. At the time of her death, she was considered the wealthiest African-American businesswoman and the wealthiest self-made black woman in America.

Fannie Mae Duncan (1918-2005) was an African-American entrepreneur, philanthropist, and community activist in Colorado Springs, Colorado. She is best known as the proprietor of the Cotton Club, an early integrated jazz club in Colorado Springs named for the famous club in Harlem.
In 2012, Duncan was inducted into the Colorado Women's Hall of Fame. She was recognized for "her courageous stand fostered the peaceful integration of Colorado Springs."
One of the most recognised figures of contemporary culture, Jones has had an enduring influence on countless artists from Björk to Lady Gaga with her attitude of fierce individuality and fearless self-expression. Taking the world by storm as one of the first black supermodels in the 1970s, she went on to release a string of acclaimed albums including Warm Leatherette, Nightclubbing and Slave to the Rhythm. Her bold, androgynous image has made her a muse to artists and designers including Issey Miyake, Thierry Mugler and Andy Warhol.
