In 2021 the CRP started holding monthly meetings in this space. The building was power washed in the spring, and the CRP planted the beautiful flowers in the planters around the building.
During one of the monthly meetings the CRP was approached by Lauren Wyant, who was looking for a place for a storefront in Colfax. After a lot of collaborating the CRP was able to sublease this space to her business, the Aster + Indigo Market! Once the wheels were in motion the renovation moved quickly! The CRP provided the some materials and some were donated, and the Wyant family and other volunteers provided the labor. The old Town Hall now has a new ceiling, light fixtures, flooring, fresh paint, and a new bathroom, and the village has a new and THRIVING business!!
Stop by the village hall during Aster + Indigo Market business hours to see the amazing work that's been accomplished, and to browse the merchandise. So many people have been involved in renovating the old Town Hall and we appreciate every single one of them!

Mother of 3 battling stage 4 gastric cancer, organized by Lauren Wyant
I’m interrupting our normal content to share something personal and very near to my heart.
As many of you know, my sister-in-law, Anna, has been battling gastric cancer since December of last year. This journey has been a rollercoaster for Anna and her young family. You can read her story on this page, written by Andi Killian, for all of the heart wrenching details. There’s been some recent developments, which has lead us to create this GoFundMe.

If 2022 has taught us anything, it’s that small business ownership is not for the faint of heart. We’ve worked harder and longer than ever before and some days, the feelings of overwhelm and failure consume me. Social media is definitely a highlight reel for the good days but trust me, we have just as many difficult days. You just don’t see that part 😉
With 2022 coming to a close, I think it’s important to thank everyone so much for their support. This year has blown us away and never in my wildest dreams did I imagine just how much you all would support this business of ours. My mom and I truly cannot thank you all enough. If you ordered candles through our website for the After Prom fundraiser, this message is for you 🙂 We will be pouring and filling all orders over the next week and they should be ready for pickup by Friday and Saturday next week (12/9 and 12/10). Since we are pouring for this fundraiser specifically, we needed all orders, paper and online, to be collected before we could begin pouring. We’ll be working as fast as we can to get these orders ready, but please be patient with us. As you know, we are a 2 person show with a ton on our plate this time of year.
