Just do the two coats…you wrote two in the bid.
This is very true. We actually have to charge for the extra labor when using lower quality paints because of the multiple coats and difficulty to work with.

So, we have a wonderful customer who is having new flooring put in. Normally, new taller baseboards are used to cover any removal damage. In this case they had already done this, but the old flooring was raised up with a foam pad; so, the new flooring is actually 1/2” lower revealing the removal damage. We skimmed and retextured the visible damages so the baseboards would look perfect.
