My first student! Alex is going to Reed College in Portland Oregon and is studying to be a biologist. Alex has a goal to climb and work in the big trees on the West Coast. Good luck and keep practicing those knots!

Hey guys don't forget about your trees or your neighbors!! ;^) The winter months are actually the best time to get in those big Oaks and Maples. Large deadwood and other lateral branches can be removed safer with our rigging methods. The canopy if a large scale tree should be pruned every two to three years depending on age and variety. Thinning a tree greatly reduces the chance of stormed damage occurring. Cabling and different types of bracing can also be useful in large feature trees on a property or estate.
