Save the date for October 2nd at the Clinton Elks Lodge from 6:00–8:00 PM.

Respite care will be provided by First Baptist Church from 5:30–8:30 PM.

Evening Schedule:

6:00–6:30 PM — Social Time
6:30 PM — Dinner Begins
7:00 PM — Presentations, Thank Yous, and Recognition

💙 Kinship Care in Henry County 💙

In Henry County and across Missouri, many children in foster care are not placed with strangers—they are placed with relatives or close family friends, known as kinship caregivers.

📊 In recent Henry County foster care data, nearly half of children in care were placed with kinship families—showing how often relatives step up when families are in crisis.

Kinship care matters because it helps children:
• Stay connected to family and identity
• Experience more stability during difficult times
• Maintain school, community, and cultural ties
• Feel a sense of belonging when everything else feels uncertain

But kinship caregivers often take on this role unexpectedly and may need extra support.

This month, we recognize and thank every grandparent, aunt, uncle, cousin, and family friend who said “yes” when a child needed them most. 💙
