Barb & Zach’s Story

“When we first met the FAN outreach team, we were living in a tent and struggling just to survive. Without a phone, we felt trapped and isolated, but Ari and Chelsea from the HARM:LESS team, along with our peer recovery coach, never gave up on us.

“They brought us a tent twice, gave us sleeping bags, during the cold winter months, and encouraged us to believe that we deserved better. With their constant support, we’re now five months into recovery, have housing, jobs, and a future filled with hope. We will never be able to pay what they’ve done for us.”

At FAN, we meet people who are struggling with a substance use disorder (SUD) where they’re at—both literally and figuratively. If someone is ready for treatment, we can connect them with the resources they need. But if someone isn’t quite ready to get the help they need, we will meet them where they are, walk with them on their journey, and let them know that they still matter—and that the FAN team cares about them.

Thanks to FAN, Barb and Zach went from the lowest of lows to “a future full of hope.” From living in a tent to recovery, housing, and employment. All because FAN never gave up on them.

Your donation to FAN helps us fund the many programs we offer to the public completely free of charge, as we work tirelessly to fulfill our mission: To compassionately assist individuals and families affected by substance use disorder.

🎄UPDATES FOR OUR WEEKLY RECOVERY GROUPS🎄

Photos from Face Addiction Now's post 12/24/2024

🎄 Our hearts are overflowing with gratitude! Under the incredible leadership of our own Chelsea Geddes, we were able to bring Christmas joy to 7 families this year - our largest impact yet!

Thanks to the overwhelming generosity of over 35 amazing individuals and organizations in our community, what started as a vision became a beautiful reality. From monetary donations to gift shopping, wrapping, and organizing, every single person played a crucial role.

Special thanks to Bereaved Parents of the USA, Macomb County MI Chapter for their tremendous support with families #1-4, and to CNS Auto Repair for their partnership.

The tears of joy and gratitude we witnessed during gift deliveries reminded us of the true spirit of Christmas. Thank you to everyone who shared, donated, and helped make this possible! ❤️
