Somewhere along the way, the people Beau (aka Chester) trusted made the heartbreaking decision to throw him away.

At approximately 7 years old, this incredibly sweet Doberman was dumped and left to survive on his own in the brutal Texas heat. While he waited, wondering why his family never came back, he remained exactly what he has always been—a kind, gentle soul who still believes people can be good.

Beau did not deserve this.

He is house trained, rides beautifully in the car, walks politely on a leash, knows how to sit on command, takes treats with the gentlest touch, and gets along well with other dogs. He is calm, affectionate, and simply wants to be near the people he loves.

After a lifetime of loyalty, Beau should not have to spend his senior years wondering if anyone will ever choose him again.

He deserves soft beds instead of hard ground. A cool home instead of the scorching heat. Gentle hands instead of abandonment. Most of all, he deserves a family who will love him for the rest of his life and never leave him behind again.

Please do not let Beau’s story end with the people who failed him.

We had the privilege of taking Rayna to her vet appointment, and it didn’t take long for us to fall completely in love with her. She was the perfect passenger, so well-behaved at the vet, and everyone she met adored her. ❤️

Rayna is heartworm positive, but that’s treatable. What she desperately needs right now is a foster so she can leave the stressful pound behind and begin the treatment that could save her life.

This beautiful, intelligent, loving girl has done nothing to deserve dying in a small municipal kill shelter simply because there isn’t enough space.

Instead of being loved in a home, Finn is sitting in the Cleveland, TX pound, a small municipal kill shelter that euthanizes for space.

Finn has done nothing wrong. He deserves a chance to live, not to be overlooked.
