To provide families raising children with ASD access to essential resources, guidance, and emotional support while empowering women in domestic violence situations to regain control of their lives through self-defense, self-love, and self-care programs.
The Steps of Protection Walk was more than a walk—it was a safe space where women felt seen, supported, heard, and empowered.
We came together to raise awareness, share resources, and remind every woman that abuse is not always visible, but her experience is still valid. Every step represented courage, healing, protection, and the power of community.
Together, we walked for the women who survived, the women still finding their voices, and the women whose stories must never be forgotten.

What I learned from the Steps of Protection Walk yesterday is that abuse can often be invisible. Sometimes, we may not recognize that we are experiencing abuse because it does not always leave physical scars. Abuse can also be emotional, mental, verbal, financial, or spiritual and those hidden forms of abuse are just as real and harmful.

Inclusion begins with what we teach at home.
Children should be taught that people may communicate, move, learn, play, or express excitement differently. Those differences are not reasons to stare, laugh, exclude, or make someone feel uncomfortable.
When children understand disability, autism, and different ways of experiencing the world, they are better prepared to lead with kindness instead of fear.
Let’s raise children who understand that everyone belongs.

Good Morning Beauties, as we prepare for Steps of Protection Walk, just a reminder.
Domestic violence doesn't just happen somewhere else.
It happens in our neighborhoods. It happens in our workplaces. It happens to our mothers, daughters, sisters, friends, and neighbors.
In Ohio, 1 in 3 women will experience intimate partner violence in their lifetime.
Behind every statistic is a name. A family. A story. A survivor. Or someone whose life was taken too soon.
This is why we walk.
We walk for HER who survived. We walk for HER we lost. We walk for HER who is still finding the strength to leave.
Awareness is important, but action changes lives.
Join The Suggs Foundation as we continue building a community where survivors are seen, supported, and reminded that healing is possible.
Together, we are not just raising awareness. We are creating hope. We are creating change.
