Guardians vs. Yankees has felt like playoff baseball all week.
The two teams are now 2-2 against each other this season, with every game featuring late-inning drama, clutch plays, and postseason intensity.
Monday’s latest battle went 10 innings before New York escaped with a 7-5 win.
If these teams meet again in October, nobody will be surprised.

While Brayan Rocchio made great plays defensively, he and the Guardians can't get the job done at home on Monday night against those Yankees.
Back at it again on Tuesday.

Gabriel Arias is making his return complicated for the Guardians.
After missing more than two months with a left hamstring strain, Arias finally began a rehab assignment with Triple-A Columbus and wasted no time reminding everyone what he can bring.
In his third at-bat back, Arias blasted a solo home run to right field, showing that the power he flashed early in the season is still there.
That creates an interesting question for Cleveland.
Travis Bazzana has impressed at second base. Brayan Rocchio has settled in at shortstop. And José Ramírez still owns third base.
So where does Arias fit?
He has the talent to help this lineup, but Cleveland now has to figure out the cleanest way to get him back into the mix without disrupting what is already working.
For the Guardians, this is not a bad problem.
But it is definitely a complicated one.

Last week, your Guardians took 2 out 3 games in the Bronx against the Yankees. And let's face it, that could easily have been a sweep.
As always, our very own Jose Ramirez led the attack. In those 3 games, he had:
7 H
1 HR
3 RBI
5 R
2 SB
Some Guardian fans have joked that they might as well rename the Yankees' ballpark to Jose Ramirez Stadium, with how much he has owned them 🫢
But kidding aside, Jose and our Guardians will start a three-game series against these Yankees starting on Monday night. This time, in our house. And Guardians Nation will certainly show up to rally together for our squad, right?
Let's beat those Yankees again and build a nice lead in the American League Central, shall we 😏

Tanner Bibee finally got the win he deserved.
After opening the season with a franchise-record 13-game winless streak despite several strong performances, Bibee dominated the Rangers with eight scoreless innings, allowing just three hits while earning his first victory since September 2025.
The Guardians offense backed him up with six runs, including José Ramírez’s 10th home run of the season and a four-run fifth inning that put the game out of reach. For Bibee, it was a reminder that wins do not always tell the story of how well a pitcher is throwing.
On this night, the result finally matched the performance.

Living up to the No. 1 overall pick hype. 🎚️🛡️
Travis Bazzana has been an absolute force since arriving in Cleveland, already ranking in the Top 5 among all MLB second basemen in OBP, OPS, and wRC+.

Brayan Rocchio has transformed from a defensive-first placeholder into one of baseball's most reliable bottom-of-the-order bats, fueling a massive breakout season in Cleveland. 📈🔥

The Guardians are back near the top of the AL Central, and their recent first-round picks are a huge reason why.
Gavin Williams has emerged as one of the AL’s best young starters with a 3.07 ERA.
Chase DeLauter is finally healthy and showing why Cleveland drafted him in the first round.
And Travis Bazzana, the No. 1 overall pick in 2024, has already climbed to the top of the batting order thanks to his elite plate discipline and contact skills.
After years of mixed first-round results, Cleveland’s recent draft classes are beginning to pay off in a big way.
And with top prospect Ralphy Velazquez now in Triple-A, more help could be on the way.
