September self portraits! Almost missed this month, but I kept up with my challenge!
I wanted to do something dark and gothic but not yet spooky, so here’s something a little different — a comic-like noir/detective set. That second photo looks like a movie poster, what would my film be called?
My husband watched me shoot these and he was cheering me on, he loves how different they are from my previous self portraits! And I love them too!

Hi I’m Dani!
I feel like it’s been a while since I’ve re-introduced myself here. I’ve been doing a lot of thinking and I’ve been kind of inactive on social media this month unintentionally. But I’m BACK!
I’m a self-taught creative photographer and filmmaker of over 15 years, 6 years full time professionally! I’m a huge wrestling fan, movie buff, goofball, and all-around people person.
I’m 32 and married to the love of my life of 12 years and child-free by choice. I’m very excitable and can talk about my niche passions for hours. I laugh a lot, say a lot of puns, and can get along with just about anyone (I’m a Gemini).
When I create art, I want to create things that are different and out-of-the-box — the weirder the better! Ranging from fantasy to horror to action, I do it all. I was put on this earth to create.
My biggest creative strengths are directing, brainstorming, and editing. I can take an essentially nothing idea and transform it into a full concept. I also have an exceptionally good memory and I’m pretty sure I have synesthesia (and autism).
It’s almost my favorite photoshoot time of the year — SPOOKY SEASON!! Get ready for another round of the scariest, haunting, and wild concepts coming so soon!!

🩷 Lion Around 🦁
Alayna chose the Pink Concept in my Rainbow Photoshoot Roulette — a pampered lion in a 1960s-esque setting. Think “I Dream of Jeannie” vibes.
After I saw a generated image of a lion in a pink robe with hair curlers, I thought I CAN DO THAT WITH THE POWER OF EDITING!! Alayna wore a lion mask and a wig with curlers, and I superimposed different lion heads on all the photos.
The new object rotation tool in Photoshop is such a great addition to the program — I was able to transform the lion to face different directions without losing any quality. All the editing was done by hand myself. These photos took over a week to edit and were some of the most challenging to complete, but they were SO worth it! They’re so fun!

💙 blank canvas 🩵
Abbey chose the Blue concept in my Rainbow Photoshoot Roulette — an Andy Warhol/Picasso inspired makeup set with a bit of a mannequin twist. A pantyhose was put over Abbey’s face to add to the uncanny and abstractness. I definitely wanted the editing to feel like blown out film and I think I got it down. We were laughing the whole time because it’s also giving Gladys from Weapons 😂

Macie chose the Orange concept in my Rainbow Photoshoot Roulette — a bright near infrared set with artsy motion blur. Looking at the shoot in person, the setup was very simple. But it would come to life in editing! It feels a little nostalgic too. Summer might be coming to an end soon but we still got this heatwave!

I was SO excited to hear that my friends .creative were all involved in bringing to life at ! I always get so happy when the amazing people in the creative community do amazing things.
It was also filmed in Cleveland! We love to see it!!
