Nearly 2 million Americans receive a cancer diagnosis each year. But government agencies and researchers have traditionally—and understandably—focused on more common cancers that affect the largest numbers of patients. This can leave people battling a rare cancer diagnoses with few treatment options. At Lamassu Biotech our novel genetically targeted therapy SA53, works by triggering the body’s natural defense mechanism, p53, which inhibits or blocks a protein called MDM2. The p53 pathway is one of the most important natural defense mechanisms your body has against cancer. Learn more at LamassuBiotech.com/sa53/.

Known as the “Guardian of the Genome,” the body's p53 protein is a crucial tumor suppressor gene commonly mutated in human cancers. Lamassu BioTech's innovative, genetically targeted treatment, SA53, is a novel therapeutic that works by triggering p53, which inhibits or blocks the MDM2 protein.
Lamassu’s ongoing human clinical trial focuses on achieving a safe dosage for future trials, understanding pharmacokinetic profiles, and assessing early signs of effectiveness in treating soft tissue sarcomas and solid tumors with wild type p53.
