It was time. We moved into our house 19 years ago this month. I decorated our master bath in a Tuscan styling. It was beautiful but it was time for a change.

So far, we’ve spent about $200. That includes new lights above the vanity, paint and curtains. The wall art will be what’s next.

I’m trying to keep all this budget friendly and small changes can make a big impact.

Time for a new look in the kitchen. When we built the house and moved in on March 17, 2007, I had painted the kitchen a beautiful yellow called Jonquil by Sherwin Williams. I loved that kitchen with all the bold red accents! But lately I was ready for a change…

Updated look was simply getting rid of all the red and painting the walls Koi Pond by Sherwin Williams! I use eggshell paint and love how it finishes without the high gloss that most people use in the kitchen. Koi Pond is a very peaceful green.

We still aren’t done. I sold the red hutch and shelf and found the black hutch with glass doors on FB Marketplace. I’m still looking for a cabinet that will work as a coffee bar. I purged so many things. And I still have to hang wood cutting boards on the big wall.

But the space is so peaceful now. Just what we need after a busy day!

Bedroom 1 or bedroom 2?

We’ve made our decision but I thought a pole would be fun!

Update: The walls are done in the Purple bedroom but we are still deciding on all the finishing touches. I stenciled the dark purple wall and kt turned out amazing!!! Eiffel Tower is out (at least for now), but we are getting a different bedspread. Royal Design Studio Stencils/Modello Designs

Things are coming along!!! I’ve been busy painting and then my husband helped by cleaning the carpets! Today we pick up a bedroom set from my dad’s. It will go into the purple room. I still have to stencil that dark purple wall. The stencil got delayed due to weather but I have it now.

I am finished with painting this bedroom. I’m extremely happy with how the paint job turned out! I cut in all the corners by hand. No taping. Just a paint brush and patience.

We still need to finish a lot of stuff in the room. But I wanted to show you the paint job.

I’m crocheting a throw for the room and we have the quilt for the bed! I can’t wait to pull the entire look together!
