Walter wants to know where all his applications are?? He says he is a fun guy with lots to offer!

He runs nonstop in the house and backyard till he crashed. Then he cuddles on the couch with you or a dog bed with a bone to relax! We are guessing he is about three years old and he only weighs about 25 pounds.

He loves kids and dogs, but definitely needs some manners. He doesn’t know jumping isn’t appropriate. He thinks it is a fun way to say hi and give a hug. His foster mom is working on showing him how to sit, but he has other plans🤷‍♀️🤦‍♀️.

He says the time is now get your application so he can play at your house!

He is neutered, vaccinated, has had bloodwork, a f***l and heartworm test, microchipped and on monthly preventatives.

Walter is located in Chardon, Ohio.

Applicants must be within a one hour driving distance of Cleveland, Ohio.

Remember Mark, the Labradoodle we were looking for a foster home for a few weeks ago?

He made his way up from Kentucky and is now crashing with Walter while we get to know him.

So far, Mark has been a really sweet, loving dog. It seems like he hasn’t gotten a whole lot of attention in his life, because this boy is STARVED for it. He wants to be near his person, he wants to be touched, and he just wants somebody to pay attention to him.

When Walter is home, Mark is loose in the house and does great. He doesn’t tear anything up or go looking for trouble. If Walter has to run an errand, Mark goes in his crate and does just fine there too.

At night, he sleeps wherever he wants, which usually means in bed or somewhere close to the bedroom. Apparently personal space is not really Mark’s thing.

Training-wise, we’re pretty much starting at square one. He doesn’t seem to know many basic commands, and we really don’t think anyone ever spent much time teaching him anything. We’ll work on that.

He LOVES being outside and likes to know what’s going on around him.

Today he’s getting a much-needed groom, so hopefully there are eyeballs under all that hair and we’ll finally get to see them. Tomorrow he’ll be getting neutered and updated on his vaccines.

We’re still learning Mark, so we don’t know yet how he is with kids or cats. For now, we’re just letting him settle in, get some attention, and learn what it’s like to be somebody’s dog.

We’ll share more as we learn more about him. ❤️

Wylde man 😍

This dog is seriously adorable and absolutely hilarious.

We named him Wylde because when we first met him, “Crazy Train” popped into our heads. We have no idea why, but it did, and once we landed on Wylde it just fit him.

He’s about 6 months old and weighs around 30 pounds. We still have no clue what breed he is. He has a pittie-looking face, wiry hair, a little beard and some giant feet, so yes, we sent out a DNA test because we need answers too.

Wylde is currently in a temporary foster home and doing really well, but we would really like to move him into a more permanent foster or foster-to-adopt home while we finish up his medical care.

He LOVES other dogs. Of course, he immediately became best friends with his foster sister Gladys because apparently every dog that comes through here decides Gladys is the one.

He has had one accident in the house, and that was his very first night while he was learning the routine. Since then, he has done great and seems to be pretty much housebroken.

He loves dog beds, bones and toys. Toys are definitely one of his favorite things and will keep him busy for a while.

He is “Wylde,” but not in an obnoxious, bouncing-off-the-walls kind of way. He’s just goofy, spunky and hilarious. He has this ridiculous little pounce when he wants to play and has so much personality.

He also does great in his crate. He stays crated while his foster is at work with a blanket and something to chew on and handles it beautifully.

Wylde came to us from Kentucky with burns over his back and down his legs. We still don’t know exactly what happened to him, but thankfully they are healing really well. They do still need daily cleaning while they finish healing.

And despite whatever happened to him, he loves every single person he meets. He is confident, social and just a really cool puppy.

Wylde is scheduled to be neutered Tuesday and should be ready for adoption very soon.

For now, we would love to find him a foster home or foster-to-adopt home where he can settle in while we finish everything up.

If you think Wylde might be a good fit for your home, send us a message. We do ask that foster homes be somewhat close to Trinity Veterinary Hospital in Montville, Ohio for appointments. Any other pets in the home need to be spayed or neutered and current on vaccines, and the rescue provides the supplies needed for fostering.

Pumpkin 🎃

Pumpkin came to us from Kentucky last week. We’re guessing she’s maybe around 6 years old, she weighs 26 pounds, and we have no idea what breed she is. Somebody mentioned maybe a mini Aussie doodle, but honestly, who knows. She has wiry hair and is just kind of a weird-looking little dog.

She’s doing really well in her foster home. She doesn’t care about the chickens, ducks or goats, she likes hanging out on a comfy bed, and she’s happy to just chill with her people. So far she hasn’t had any accidents in the house either, so she appears to already be housebroken.

Her foster mom says she’s very sweet, easy to have around, and just an all-around nice dog.

The reason we committed to Pumpkin is because she has a large mass on her abdomen. We don’t know what it is yet, and she’s scheduled for surgery on Wednesday. It will be more of an exploratory surgery so we can see exactly what we’re dealing with and go from there.

For now, she’s comfortable, doing great, and settling in really well. From everything her foster mom has seen so far, she’s going to make a really nice family dog once we get her medical stuff taken care of.

Who is ready for a happy and sweet boy in their life? Walter is ready for you! He was transferred to us from the Lake County Dog Shelter after he was found matted with rubber bands tied tightly around his front paws. They were tied so tight that he had to be sedated so we could surgically remove them. He had some pretty deep wounds that took a little while to heal.

Well, he is all healed up and ready for his forever home! He loves his foster mom and granddaughter, so a home with kids is a plus! He loves dogs too! He needs some time when new people enter the home just because of his past, but once he knows you he will cuddle up with you and be your best friend.

A fence yard would be best for Walter.

Walter is neutered, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, heartworm negative and on monthly prevention. Walter has also had a negative f***l test.

Adoption fee: $350

A complete and approved application is required prior to an in-home meet and greet.

Applicants must live within a one hour driving distance of Cleveland, Ohio.

Gloria. 💗

Gloria is a senior little Chihuahua mix who recently came to us from the Lake County Dog Shelter after she was picked up as a stray. She had several mammary masses, so the shelter signed her over to us so we could get her taken care of.

Yesterday she had surgery to remove some of those masses, and she did really well. She’ll need to go back in another month or so to have the rest removed, but for now she’s recovering and doing great.

Gloria is just a really sweet little old lady. She loves her people and pretty much wants to be with someone all the time. In her foster home she’s living with another small dog and a cat and does great with both.

She also has luxating patellas because apparently she came with the full little old lady package… Bad knees, lumps and bumps and all.

She’s happy, she’s sweet, and she is very loved already. We’re really glad this little girl made her way to us, and we’ll keep everyone updated as she heals and gets ready for her next surgery.

Wylde 😍

Wylde is about 6 months old and your guess on his breed is probably as good as ours. At first glance he looks like a pit bull puppy, but then you get closer and realize he has wiry hair and a little beard. So naturally, we sent out a DNA test because now we need answers too.

Wylde came to us from Kentucky badly burned. We honestly don’t know exactly what happened to him or how he ended up with the burns, but right now our main focus is getting those areas healed and sealed up.

The good news is that Wylde does not seem to realize he’s supposed to slow down. He is a super fun, goofy puppy and is doing really well in his foster home. He gets along great with all of the other dogs and slept all night in his crate without a problem.

He also looks like he’s going to be a pretty big boy once he’s finished growing.

Wylde is not neutered yet, but he will be once we get his burns healed up and he’s ready for that next step.

He is currently available for either a foster home or a foster-to-adopt home. So if you’re able to foster him, great. If you think he might be your dog and want to foster him while we finish up his medical care, that’s an option too.

For now, he’s healing, playing, being ridiculous, and settling into foster life really well.

And eventually we’ll find out what exactly created the pit bull-looking, wiry-haired, bearded creature that is Wylde.

A little Jeb update because this guy is making SO much progress.

When Jeb first came to us, walking on a leash was basically a foreign concept. We honestly don’t think he had ever been on one in his life. Since we’re pretty sure he spent most of his life as an outside dog, he probably never had a reason to learn.

Now he is walking SO much better on leash. He also used to hesitate before walking into buildings or houses, like he genuinely wasn’t sure he was supposed to go inside. That hesitation is getting less and less, and now he’s walking in with so much more confidence.

He is doing great in his foster home. He loves the other dog in the house, absolutely loves people, and has been great with kids. There are cats in the home too, and Jeb pretty much couldn’t care less about them.

He definitely still loves being outside, but he’s slowly figuring out that being an inside dog isn’t so bad either.

Today he went to the groomer for a blowout and did great. For a dog who seems to have experienced very little of normal “pet dog” life before coming to us, he just keeps taking everything we throw at him and figuring it out.

Jeb is one of those dogs that just gets to you. He is so incredibly sweet, and all he really needed was someone to show him a different life. He is learning that people can be good, houses can be safe, and being someone’s dog means more than just existing outside.

He has come such a long way already, and whoever adopts him is going to get to watch the rest of that happen. He deserves someone who is going to keep showing him the world and give him the kind of life he should have had all along.

Jeb is about 3 years old and weighs around 48 pounds. He is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, has had a f***l test, and is on monthly preventatives.

Jeb WILL need a fenced yard. He loves being outside, and with his history, we feel that is the safest and best setup for him.

His adoption fee is $350.

Applicants must live within a one-hour driving distance of Cleveland, Ohio. A complete and approved application is required prior to an in-home meet and greet.

Link to adoption application will be in the comments
