Patrick Warner also known as Pat.W is a musician, actor, poet from Cleveland, Ohio who was born on July 15th, 1996. Raised in the Buckeye-Shaker neighborhood by his parents Sheree and Walter Warner along with his sister Briana (1 out of 4 siblings), Pat was a energetic but shy kid growing up. Apart from attending the shaker heights school district, Pat learned a lot of life lessons from the stories his father and mother told him as a kid and experiences he went through as a teenager. As a kid, music played a huge part in his life. With his father raising him on classical music and pop music group Bee gees, his mother with old school R&B artists like Al green, Marvin Gaye, Isley brothers, and Gospel artists like Bebe and Cece Winans, and his sister with rap music like Eminem, Lil Wayne, and Jay-Z and R&B artists like Aaliyah, Beyonce, and Lauryn Hill . At the age of 13 Pat started writing raps after seeing a hip hop performance at an special event for an after school program he attended. What began as a hobby became more therapeutic as time went on dealing with his father’s long term illness and other personal issues. At 15, after attending a poetry slam event, Pat decided to pursue music as a career. Throughout the years, Pat went from performing at poetry slams and open mics to performing in the yearly black history play Sankofa (freshman to senior year) at his school to being a student at the summer camps and now current worker for the hip hop organization Refresh collective to being a two-time member of the One mic open Cleveland youth poetry slam team (2015-2016) attending the international poetry slam competition Brave new voices to other community projects. Pat graduated from Shaker heights high school in 2015 and currently attends Cuyahoga Community College at the Metro Campus in downtown Cleveland, majoring in the Recording arts and technology program. In the beginning of 2017, Pat began establishing himself in the Cleveland music scene by performing at festivals, showcases, and many other events. In August of that year, Pat released his debut song “Wars of faith (Remix)”, a rap remix to the orchestral instrumental by Audiomachine. After a few days on Soundcloud, the remix hit 115 plays and is currently at 664 plays. In January of this year, Pat was a feature on the cover/remix of Johnny Cash’s Hurt by Calien and Kai. As of now, Pat is recording, releasing and performing his music around his city building up his fanbase and hopes to release a project in due time. After the death of his father in 2014 and many others close to him, Pat has been and is determined to make music to help motivate people to face their struggles head on and persevere through life.
