Where would I be without the two best fathers in my life. ♥️

First … I give honor to my own daddy who set the greatest example of what to look for in a man … and when I found that man, I married him. 😉

And that brings me to my husband …. who is a loving, consistent, present force in the lives of our children. I hope they realize how blessed they are to call him Dad.

Happy Father’s Day to all the dads out there.

Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine says it’s time to abolish the death penalty, arguing the data no longer supports the belief that it deters future murders.

What do you think?

I’m able to do what I do today because journalists in the past gave of their time to share their knowledge with groups I was involved in when I was a student looking to enter the field.

Now, I’m honored to be able to follow in their footsteps and pass on that knowledge.

The Cleveland State University Association of Black Journalists (CSUABJ), in partnership with the Society of Professional Journalists, Cleveland Pro Chapter recently hosted Brandon Simmons, assistant news director at WKYC, and Danielle Wiggins, anchor and reporter at WKYC, for a discussion that gave students an honest look at the realities of journalism and opportunities for career growth.

How should Ohio pay for its public schools?

A new bill would update the state's Fair School Funding Plan to account for inflation, but there's disagreement over what's really driving financial challenges in school districts.

One researcher warns that, without revenue increases or spending cuts, one in five Ohio school districts could end 2029 with a negative cash balance — effectively bankrupt.

It was an honor to host Race for the Place and celebrate the power of hope, community, and cancer survivorship.

As a breast cancer survivor, I know firsthand how important it is to have support during and after a cancer diagnosis. That's why the work of The Gathering Place means so much. The organization provides free support services to individuals and families impacted by cancer throughout Northeast Ohio.

From survivors and caregivers to family members and friends, Race for the Place brought together a community united by resilience, remembrance, and hope.

Thank you to everyone who participated, volunteered, donated, and shared their story. Together, you're helping ensure no one faces cancer alone. ❤️
