We were honored to welcome Amos Gofer of Kfar Silver Youth Village for a special evening on November 17th. Amos shared powerful stories from this unique agricultural boarding and day school near the Gaza border. We heard about the educational and social-emotional support these students are receiving and were inspired by the resilience of the students and staff, and the vision for Kfar Silver’s future.
Thank you to Todd and Julie Gurney for gracefully hosting this wonderful event in their home.

ORT Ohio to honor Kaplans with Maimonides Award Amy and Ira Kaplan will be honored with the Maimonides Award at the 53rd Annual brunch on Oct. 19 at Beechmont Country Club in Orange.

ORT Ohio is beyond grateful and excited to honor Amy and Ira Kaplan with the 53rd Annual Maimonides Award at the Annual Brunch on Sunday, October 19th. Save the Date!

Please join us in congratulating esteemed Cleveland Leadership Center Trustee Emeritus, Ira Kaplan, and his wife Amy, who will receive the prestigious 2025 Maimonides Award at ORT America-Ohio Region's 53rd Annual Brunch.

Ira's commitment to Cleveland's leadership development is exemplified by his past service as board chair of the Cleveland Leadership Center, where he helped foster Cleveland’s community of leaders through transformative programs and initiatives.

His impressive community leadership portfolio also includes board positions with Jewish Cleveland, Downtown Cleveland (previously known as Downtown Cleveland Alliance) and formerly as Vice Chair of United Way of Greater Cleveland.

They will receive their awards on Sunday, October 19, 2025, at Beechmont Country Club.
