Operation Open Heart is saddened to report and continues to mourn the loss of Thomas P. Dunegan, who passed away last month. Tom was a lifetime member and past president of our organization. A proud Navy veteran and retired police officer, Tom dedicated his life to service, both in uniform and through his commitment to our mission. ☀️Nothing says summer like a day at the pool! Thanks to the support from the City of Lorain Parks & Recreation, our campers had a great time cooling off and making memories at the South Lorain community pool.

🇺🇸 Every day at camp begins with the Pledge of Allegiance, a reminder of our civic duty and the values we strive to uphold and instill in the young men we mentor.

We kicked off our first day of camp with a stop at Romp's Water Port, Inc. in Vermilion. A stop at Romp’s Putter Port has been an annual tradition for Operation Open Heart since the 1960s. Thank you to Romp’s for welcoming us year after year and helping us start camp with some fun and friendly competition!

Everyone is having an amazing time this morning at our Breakfast with Santa. We would like to thank everyone that came out to support our organization today.
