Relatives -- you can't choose them and you can't lose them...unless they die. And that's what Cousin Maude did.
Congratulations to my 'Sisters in Crime', Carol Preflatish and Lynn Slaughter. Both were nominated for awards at the Imaginarium conference held last weekend. Lynn for her YA novel and Carol for her screenplay adapted from her novel, Homecoming for Murder.
Carol was runner-up in the Long Format screenplay category. Check out her website to see the AWARD!
Happy 15th Birthday to my little furry friend, Daisy Rose! She was born the night that my husband died and I've always suspected that his spirit left his body and flew into hers. She doesn't have his brilliant blue eyes or his dimples, but she never stops talking, just like he did. Daisy and I have spent many an hour watching the birds and chipmunks in our garden. Now, in our twilight years, we curl up on the sofa and watch British mysteries. May we have many more years together, little Miss Daisy.

MYSTERY WITH A SPLASH OF BOURBON

A HAUNTING AT MARIANWOOD
By E. M. Munsch
Marianwood, located in central Kentucky, is the motherhouse for the Sisters of the Blessed Mother of God. When the president of the order experiences odd happenings, she calls on her cousin Dashiell Hammond, retired Army colonel, to sort out the events. Is there really a ghost or more sinister beings at work?
This is the sixth book in the Dash Hammond series.
Susan and I are members of the Derby Rotten Scoundrels, the Louisville Chapter of Sisters in Crime.
Happy New Year to all you readers.
I want to congratulate my Sister in Crime, Leanne, whose very funny possum story has been accepted for inclusion in MYSTERY AND HORROR LLC's new anthology to be published this year. This is the start of a great writing career for her.

Today I want to wish my good old buddy, Laura, a Happy Birthday. She and I met some 70 plus years ago in Mrs. O'Malley's kindergarten class at Orchard School in Cleveland. We've managed to stay very good friends all these years even though we rarely have lived in the same city.
Happy Birthday, Laura, may you have many more!
Happy Thanksgiving to all. May your day be filled with good food, good company and a good book.
