First Fit Dance

For several years, a beautiful rhythm has echoed through our First Fit Dance classes—music playing, laughter rising, women moving together with strength, courage, and joy. What began as a simple step of faith grew into a community where women of every age, shape, and ability found encouragement, friendship, and confidence. Watching that unfold has been one of the greatest honors of my life.

Today I’m sharing an update from my heart.

As this season of life shifts for our instructors, we will be bringing First Fit Dance classes to a pause for now. This was not an easy decision, because every class, every song, every hug and prayer at the end of the night has meant so much to us.

Leading First Fit has been an incredible joy. Seeing women walk through the doors unsure and leave stronger, smiling, and surrounded by community is something I will always treasure. Each of you helped create the spirit that made First Fit so special.

While classes are coming to a close in this season, the story of First Fit isn’t necessarily finished. Life has a way of opening new chapters, and if the timing and circumstances allow in the future, we would love the possibility of dancing together again someday.

Most of all, the heart behind First Fit has always been about more than fitness—it has been about faith, friendship, and encouragement.

If you are looking for ways to stay connected in community and grow in faith, we would love to welcome you to join us for Bible studies and events at First Baptist Church Cleveland. There are wonderful opportunities there to gather, learn, and continue building meaningful relationships. We are sharing that information for anyone who feels led to join.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you for every moment you shared with us—every dance, every smile, every encouraging word. You helped make First Fit a place of joy, and that is something I will carry with gratitude always.

And who knows… sometimes the music pauses before the next song begins. 💗

After stepping away for a bit, I’m so excited to be back — not just as an instructor, but as a friend, and a woman who knows what it’s like to start (or restart) a fitness journey.

Tonight at 6:00 pm, I’ll be joining the incredible Tracy and Gina at First Baptist Cleveland for First Fit Dance — and we’d love to see you there.

Y’all… what a year. We’ve danced, laughed, worshiped, cried a few happy tears, and watched SO many of you grow stronger in your bodies and in your confidence. You have no idea how much it means to us that you choose to show up, week after week.

First Fit will be on Christmas break until Monday, January 12th.
There will be no classes until we kick back off on Monday & Thursday nights at 6:00 PM in the new year.
