Clemson Political Science Association

Everyone by now is aware that we are fully online for the remainder of the semester. As such we won’t be holding any meeting for the rest of the semester, the publication won’t be released the semester, and there will be no attendance of the South Carolina Political Science Association Conference. However, starting in the fall we will be hitting it hard in preparation for the fall debate and publication. Also for next years elections, they will take place at the beginning of the fall elections. Thank you everyone who has been active in the club these past few semesters and I hope to see you all in the fall. For those of you graduating this semester I wish you the best of luck in all your future endeavors. If any of y’all need anything please feel free to let me know.

Our first annual political debate between the Clemson College Democrats and the Clemson College Republicans was a huge success! The Democrats won the topics of immigration, healthcare, and education while the Republicans won the topic of minimum wage! Thanks to Sloane Perkins for the photographs and all those who came out!

This Thursday, we will have a guest speaker from the Lyceum Fellows program and one of our exec. members, Maelee, will be leading a discussion regarding the current events in Hong Kong. We will also finish planning our first annual debate! See you there!

We are hosting and moderating a debate between the Clemson College Democrats and the Clemson College Republicans. They will be debating the topics of immigration, education, healthcare, and minimum wage.
