Rabun County Board of Tax Assessors to meet

The Rabun County Board of Tax Assessors will meet at 9 a.m. on
Wednesday, June 11 at the Rabun County Tax Assessors Office, 19 Jo Dotson Circle Suite 121, Clayton, for the purpose of the 2025 meeting to approve the 2025 assessments.

The Rabun County football team hosts its annual spring game this Friday at 7:30 PM at Frank Snyder Memorial Stadium. Head coach Rance Gillespie says the Wildcats are progressing well before summer.

An Otto, N.C., man pleaded guilty Monday, Feb. 24, to offenses related to a murder investigation involving a deceased body found in the Chattahoochee-Oconee National Forest in August 2023.
Keegan Cleve Plumer Phillips III, 25, made his plea to malice murder, felony murder, aggravated assault, and two counts of abandonment of a dead body, according to a press release from Mountain Judicial Circuit District Attorney George Christian.

Wildcat Families,

Due to anticipated winter weather, Rabun County Schools will have a virtual learning day on Wednesday, February 19, 2025. The safety of our students, faculty, and staff remains our top priority.

Students have received virtual learning assignment details. For questions, please contact your child’s teacher.

Decisions on extracurricular events will be made later in the day on Wednesday.

Twelve month employees should report at 11 am or when it is safe to do so.

As a reminder, please check the online breakfast/lunch menus for any updates upon our return.
