A little Sunday afternoon before and after

A lot has changed since our last post and we have been very busy. We tried something new! With the expertise of Barry Styles from the Foxfire museum we restored a 135 year old barn in North Carolina.
The walls were twisted due to its age and settling, the stairs were in disrepair, it was missing a lot of siding and needed a new sill beam as well as some support so it wouldn’t shift anymore. Now this barn can serve its owners for many more years to come.

Happy Memorial Day to our past, present, and fallen soldiers. Today we honor you and salute you for defending our country and our freedom. 🇺🇸

We had to take a trip to Blue Ridge to grab some wood for a new project. We turned this stack of lumber into some one-of-a-kind custom wood shutters and also replaced a post for some added curb appeal.

We have made our way into the main part of the house! Today we finished giving this fireplace a makeover with a German Schmear and put shiplap on the wall.

The shiplap is up, the gooseneck lights are in and the trim is almost done. This bedroom looks a little cozier tonight.

The sink is finished. Now it’s time to paint those walls!
