✨Blue Ridge bliss—Where the world slows down & the mountains roll forever. This is what peace looks like.

Facebook just reminded me that today is Of These Mountain's 7th Birthday. I guess this is more proof that it's a good thing I don't have children as I always think it is earlier in the year!
Seven years, full disclosure, I have never had any other job for 7 years, so that's just one more milestone this date surpasses. More disclosure, year 5 was probably my least favorite year of this adventure, but year 6 was my favorite.
In six years we have been through a number of incarnations, I am comfortable with each decision and path that I have taken this company, and now I think we have settled into where the business sweet spot lies. Online, attending festivals, producing festivals and wholesale.
I have to thank my brother for helping me swallow my pride and realize this was the best course. One day last summer he came into my store and asked a simple question, "are you making any money in this store?" My response was yes, but barely, the overhead was killing me and I had zero life outside the store, six and seven days a week to barely make it. In one of those moments that I will remember forever, my father's voice came out of my brother and he simply said what I needed to hear, "close it." I listened and it was the best decision I have made for me and the business, I appreciate his guidance.
A lot of people have helped make these 7 years possible, Alexi Calzadilla, Meredith Elise Byrd, Tanner Chitwood, Levi Webb, Stephanie Tyler Quilliams, Leah Henry, Andrew Lampros, Kaitlyn Silvernell, Amanda Watts, my entire fam-damily (immediate and extended), more friends than I can count and customers who have made this little brand into something I am incredibly proud. A special shout-out to all the vendors who have encouraged me at festivals and markets and especially those who have placed their faith in me by attending the OTM MarketPlace events.
It's been fun and I am excited to see where the OTM brand goes next, I hope you all will be with us and please know, I appreciate your support as we have grown!
Love and Appreciation to All,
Kendall

We are incredibly excited to announce that OTM - Of These Mountains has joined in the reimagining of Tallulah Point as presented by Kringle Trading Co.
For the first time in many years, Tallulah Point opened today for visitors looking for the BEST view of Tallulah Gorge! For many of us, Tallulah Point was a staple of our youth and as I was there today, so many people stopped by sharing memories of their visits there.
Tallulah Point is a throwback to a simpler time which was lost when 441 was expanded in the early 90's. But now ,there is a movement afoot to bring guests back to this classic spot filled with memories of the past just waiting for a new generation of guests to explore.
PLUS, two additional bonuses..... FREE Parking and Admission AND the Historic 441 Tallulah Gorge Drive bypasses the Tallulah Falls electronic speed check!
Stop by Tallulah Point as reimagined by Kringle Trading Company!
Open this weekend for a soft opening and daily beginning in July!
