Additionally, tomorrow marks the beginning of early voting for the sheriff run-off election. Your vote is crucial in shaping our community’s future, and we encourage everyone to participate.

Tuesday June 18th - Primary Election Runoff Day
Polls will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Early voting will just be the one week before
June 10th to the 14th (9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.)

You can request your absentee ballot now
We encourage you to hand deliver it to the Board of Elections as soon as you receive it. Do not rely on the post office

Only one question for Rabun County voters. Who do you want as your next Sheriff. No one got 50% of the vote in the primary election so the two top vote getters are competing for the Republican nomination which will essentially decide the race since there is no Democrat running

Hello Rabun County, I hope everyone has had a great three day weekend with family and friends. Yesterday was such a beautiful day.
Memorial day is a very special time each year, the true reason we observe Memorial day is because of the great sacrifice made on our behalf. We take this time to reflect on the price paid for our freedom here in America. A time to honor those brave men and women who paid the highest price for that freedom. Those who stepped up on the behalf of our nation, putting on the uniform left home and never returned. Let us as one nation under God remember our fallen heros and pray for thier families. Thank you and God bless

Mental health is a critical issue that affects every facet of our community, and as a sheriff candidate, I am committed to addressing it with compassion and effectiveness. Law enforcement officers are often the first responders to incidents involving individuals with mental health challenges. Recognizing this, we must equip our officers with the training necessary to handle these situations with sensitivity, understanding, and the appropriate de-escalation techniques. By fostering strong partnerships with mental health professionals, we can create a coordinated response that ensures the safety and dignity of all involved. Our goal is to not only protect but also to serve as a bridge to the vital resources and support that can lead to healing and recovery. Together, we can build a safer, more resilient community where mental health is prioritized and stigma has no place.
