Kya...a lovely pit/hound mix from Seattle. Her portrait was commissioned in her memory after recently passing from cancer. Her owners adopted her as a adult and gave her 7 wonderful years...she'll be greatly missed.

This is an 8x8 watercolor on Aquabord. Kai is a black lab whose owner works at the Dillard House Stables. A patient boy, he waits in the tack room until the final ride is done for the day.
