This week, Council filled our seventh seat, and I would like to share why I supported Alec Speshock.
Our community showed up. Residents emailed, attended meetings, reached out directly, and even submitted a petition with strong support for Alec. The message was clear: his values and vision align with the direction Clawson chose in November.
Alec’s appointment wasn’t predetermined: it was earned through your voices, your engagement, and your call for a healthier, more accountable path forward.
No incumbents. New leadership. Forward motion.
Speaking only for myself, Alec brings a steady, thoughtful presence, and I’m looking forward to working with him and the rest of Council, as we strengthen transparency, rebuild trust, and make decisions grounded in ethics and community-centered leadership.
Thank you to everyone who reached out, showed up, and spoke up. Your voices matter ✨️

Happy Thanksgiving, Clawson 🍂✨️🍁
Today, I’m feeling extra grateful for my family and our community 🤲💖
I’m also thankful for the neighbors who show up for one another, the small acts of kindness that ripple through our streets, and the deep sense of belonging that Clawson continues to foster.
Holidays like this can hold many meanings, and I also want to honor that we gather on land first cared for by the Indigenous peoples of this region. May we continue to learn, acknowledge, and move forward with respect.
Wishing you warmth, connection, and a moment of rest today. 🍁✨️🍂

🌟 Veterans Day 🌟
Today, we honor the bravery, sacrifices, and unwavering dedication of all our veterans.
To my incredible husband, Joel, thank you for your 8 years of service as a Navy Corpsman. Your commitment to serving our country and protecting others is something I admire every single day ❤️
To all the veterans out there, your courage, strength, and sacrifice have made a profound impact on the lives of countless people, and for that, we are forever grateful 🌟

Well… we did it, Clawson! 💜
We made history, together ✨️
I am incredibly honored and humbled to share that I have been elected to serve on Clawson City Council.
Thank you, truly, to every resident who supported me, to those who used their voice through their vote, helped a neighbor or loved one find where to vote or learn more about the candidates, asked hard questions, volunteered, or simply offered encouragement along the way. Your belief in community-centered leadership made this possible.
As most of you know, Clawson is my hometown and is now the place where I’m growing 🌱 my first business and raising my family. Serving this city is an honor and I am ready to get to work.
The election may be over, but the real work begins now: listening, planning, and building together for a thriving, transparent, and connected Clawson. Let’s keep showing what’s possible when neighbors come together with purpose and heart.
Thank you, Clawson, for your trust, your support, and your vote.
It’s your Voice. Your Vote. Our Community. 💜

Autumn 🍁 is my favorite time of year. While walking the neighborhoods of Clawson, MI these past weeks, I was reminded again and again why I love this season so much…the bright colors of changing leaves backlit by blue skies, the crisp air, Halloween fun 🎃 and the scents and tastes of pumpkin spice & cider mill treats...
Fall 🍂 invites us to slow down, reflect, and embrace change. As the leaves turn into a vibrant show of color, we roll right into November... and Election Day 🗳
This Tuesday, November 4th, 2025, is your opportunity to make your voice heard. Local elections matter, here in Clawson and in every community. There’s no electoral college in local elections, which means every single vote truly counts ✨
If you haven’t made your voting plan yet, there’s still time!
✅️ Drop off your absentee ballot or vote in person on Tuesday
✅️ Find voting info for where you live here:

Every vote matters - including yours and your neighbors’... So make a voting plan, spread the word, and make sure you and your community vote on or by this Tuesday, November 4, 2025!
It’s your Voice. Your Vote. Your/Our Community. 🌟

One Week Until Election Day, Clawson! 🌿
Tuesday, November 4, 2025 is almost here!
Friends, neighbors & voters, here are a few quick things to know before you head to the polls ⤵️
🗳️ Absentee Voters – New Option!
You can now bring your absentee ballot to the Early Voting Center or your precinct on Election Day, check in, and insert it directly into the tabulator machine.
✏️ Already Submitted Your Absentee Ballot?
If you’ve already returned your ballot but want to change your vote...
**EDIT** the DEADLINE was last Friday, October 24th at 5pm to spoil your absentee ballot (in Clawson, the deadline was Thursday, Oct 23rd because our city hall is not open on Fridays)**
In future elections the process to spoil a ballot is:
• If you returned your ballot to the Clerk’s Office, you can “spoil” it by submitting a written request to your city clerk.
• If you’ve already voted absentee by tabulation at an early voting site or on Election Day, that vote cannot be changed.
📍 New Precinct Map for Clawson!
Clawson recently went from 5 precincts ➡️ 4 precincts.
Here’s where to vote:
1️⃣ Clawson Early Childhood Center – 313 Redruth (formerly Kenwood Elementary)
2️⃣ City Hall Community Center – 425 N. Main
3️⃣ Clawson Elementary School – 101 Phillips (Formerly 3 & 4)
4️⃣ Grace Apostolic Church – 700 E. Elmwood (Formerly 5)

We've got TWO WEEKS to go until ELECTION DAY on Tuesday, November 4th, 2025 🗳
These last few weeks of the campaign for me, are about getting the word out about our local, historic election here in Clawson, MI, the importance of voting - even at the local level, and informing our community on one of their candidate options.
I've gained several followers on Instagram and while out door knocking, I've had the pleasure of meeting even more of my incredible neighbors. So if you missed my earlier post about my campaign signs and unique color choices - here's some background on "why" I chose what I did and an ask of those of you that live here in Clawson to get the word out about our upcoming election ✨️
💜🌿💜🌿💜🌿💜🌿💜
Color 🎨 always sends a message whether we realize it or not. As a flower farmer/florist and now as a city council candidate, I thought carefully about what colors best reflect my values and vision for Clawson...
I chose Purple and Green 💜🌿.
• Purple 💜 represents unity, a blend of red and blue, reminding us that at the local level, we are neighbors first, unified more by class, not divided by party lines. Purple also carries the legacy of the women’s suffrage movement, symbolizing loyalty and commitment to causes greater than ourselves.
• Green 🌿 has always been the “neutral” color in my work with flowers, tying everything together. It also stands for hope, new beginnings, and advocacy for a healthy, socially just community. To me, green also reflects the fresh opportunities we have for a more representative council here in Clawson.
If you’d like to support me by hosting a sign 🪧, my double-sided lawn signs feature BOTH colors: one side purple 💜, one side green 🌿!
You can comment here, send me a note on FB messenger, or email me at: [email protected]
Thank you for taking the time to follow along, and for staying informed about the candidates and elections that impact our community most.
