Bringing you some non-beer-related content because we love more than just beer. Sozai in Clawson is a kappo-style Japanese restaurant with a focus on sustainable sushi. Chef Hajime Cato is the James Beard nominated chef-owner and his entire team is fantastic. We attended a sake pairing dinner a few weeks back and every course was utterly delightful. It was one of our favorite dining experiences in a long time. There were a lot of amazing sake but we didn't want to be obnoxious taking pics all night. We made note, but we only took this photo of this sake from the appetizer course.

Bringing you some non-beer-related content because we love more than just beer. Weiss Distilling Co. in Clawson is a speak-easy style distillery that puts so much love into their hand-crafted cocktails that we can't resist trying everything on the menu.

So we are obviously really into craft beer, but we’ve made our love of lawnmower beer been known… so when we sat down at the bar at and saw they had bottles of , H had to have a bottle. We used to drink lots of Moosehead Lager in our younger years and the taste was beautiful nostalgia.

We just stopped by for drinks and desert. We ordered pickle backs because we are inspired by . Then, we heard they have “mystery beers” for $3 and could NOT resist the magic. H got a 25.4oz Fosters’s and V got an imperial stout in a 12oz can. Favorite part is we effective have the same amount of alcohol in each.

Never underestimate the value of a classic lawnmower beer while grilling outdoors. Happy Bunny Day to all who celebrate ^_~ 🐇🐰🐣🍻

Today we stopped by the newly opened and bought a bottle of each of their offerings for a home tasting:
• Gin
• Vodka
• Moonshine (corn liquor)

Our thoughts? They were all absolutely fantastic. There is a rule that the more beautiful the bottle is the sh*ttier the quality… and that was NOT the case here. The bottles (and all the branding pieces) are absolutely beautiful, but the product absolutely backs that up. Looking forward to trying their cocktails next 🍸

Now we’re at Stiggs grabbing dinner and trying some of their delicious concoctions, including their Citrus Mango Seltzer.
