I KNOW I’M LATE TO THE PARTY, BUT I’M HERE AND I FEEL LIKE THAT SHOULD COUNT FOR SOMETHING.
As a lifetime “G***k guy”, I know my people aren’t perfect. For instance, no matter how many new generations of their models they come out with, they seem completely incapable of developing a nice crisp trigger with a short break after the wall (even if the short reset on the new Gen6 models is a great improvement).
Enter the M&P2.0. I haven’t shot an M&P since the original version, and while I liked it, it was basically just a rebranded G***k. This kept me from caring too much about the 2.0 until I stumbled into one recently. I find nothing special about this gun EXCEPT the obviously superior trigger. And good lord is it superior. Short travel to the wall, quick/crisp break, and short-ish reset.
I still love my G***ks. I’ll die on the hill of “if you can be a shooter with a stock G***k, you can be a shooter with anything”, but man oh man G***k needs to take some trigger cues from S&W and several other manufacturers. Then they might truly be “G***k Perfection”.
Anyway, here’s a few rounds downrange at the 25 yard line.
Be safe. Be dangerous. And go to the range. You’re not as good as you think you are.
