For more than a dozen years now, we’ve been dedicated to saving at-risk dogs from local Sacramento area shelters and giving them the second chances they deserve. Reaching this milestone wouldn't be possible without the heart and soul of our community.

This is Luis. Luis has had a rough few weeks.💔 He is 4 yrs old, 15 lbs, and currently recovering from surgery where an abscess was removed from his face (BIG thanks to the Sacramento SPCA for taking care of it). Cosmo is an absolute sweetheart who is fantastic with young kids. He is incredibly affectionate and has absolutely zero concept of his actual size, as far as he's concerned, he is a 💯% certified lap dog who belongs right on top of you for snuggle time.

Dr. Abney and Dr. Carney both recently celebrated their workiversaries at FFVH! We are so extremely grateful to both of them for their talent, skill, and endless compassion! Dr. Abney and Dr. Carney became best friends while they were at UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine. Now they share an office (with Max and Evie and course!) The respect and camaraderie they share for each other is palatable and translates into everything they do!
