We are obviously slightly biased, but we think this is going to be pretty cool.

We are not quite ready to launch yet as we are still sourcing the official passport booklet and adding tasting note pages for each individual location. We are a few weeks away, but the vision is coming together exactly how we hoped.

And honestly… we would like nothing more than to end up printing a whole slew of Black Diamond Passport shirts for those that complete the journey across all 9 locations. 🍻🥃

LEADERSHIP UPDATE!

With 9 Black Diamond locations currently operating — and additional locations to be announced later this year — our growth continues at a rapid pace. None of this happens without dedicated leadership, and few have demonstrated more commitment than GM Nicole Pesa, who successfully helped open two Black Diamond Prime Steakhouses in Circleville and Johnstown within a single year.

With the Johnstown operation now stabilized, Nicole has been elevated to a Regional Manager position overseeing broader operations across the brand. However, her primary focus will return to Circleville, where our 220-seat Prime location continues to present significant opportunities for growth, particularly within our private dining and catering divisions.

Accordingly, we are pleased to announce the promotion of Stephen Richards to General Manager of Black Diamond Prime Johnstown. Steven will be tasked with continuing to elevate the level of service, hospitality, and staff training expected of the Prime brand. Assisting Steven will be Airica Haag as the Assistant GM and Chef Chris will run the back of the house with Sous Chef Ayla Grizzle.

The reality is we strive every single day to improve the guest experience across all of our locations, and these leadership changes will allow for greater individual focus at each Prime Steakhouse.

Circleville, we wanted to share a little history of the Black Diamond story through some recent press coverage. This adventure actually began in Shawnee, Ohio — a historic coal town in Southeast Ohio.

Most people assume Black Diamond started with the Brewery & Distillery, but the true catalyst for where we are today was the Black Diamond Tavern. Long before acquiring the Brewery & Distillery facility in 2024, we were already working closely with the Hocking College teaching facility to source and develop our beer program.

What started as a historic redevelopment effort in small Appalachian communities ultimately evolved into the hospitality and beverage brand you see today. Preserving history, investing in communities, and creating destinations people can be proud of has always been the mission — and Circleville is no different.
