Father’s Day always brings a mix of emotions.

I’m definitely 🥺 missing my Daddy-o today.

We didn’t always see eye to eye, and yes, we clashed from time to time.

But through it all, I knew that he 🥰 loved me and that he always had my back.

I feel incredibly lucky to have had him as my dad.

And I carry him in my 💚 heart — always.

And since today is also the 🌞 summer solstice — the first day of summer — it felt fitting to pair these memories with a little Frank Sinatra, Summertime.

My dad loved Frank!

Thinking of all the dads who are here, those who are missed, and the memories that stay with us. ❤️

Here’s to ☀️summer, to memories, and to the 👨🏻 dads who helped shape us.

That’s me at Castlerigg Stone Circle 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

If you’ve been following me for a while, you know I love 🥰 stone circles.

So when I realized I was only staying about a mile away, it was one of the first places I walked to.

And I’ve been back a couple of times since!

Trying to touch all the stones…

And no, I’m not time traveling 😂

What are your thoughts on stone circles?

What makes someone move to a country and stay for nearly 20 years?

For Portugal travel expert Julie Fox, it wasn’t just the beautiful landscapes.

It was the feeling she had when she arrived.

In this clip from the podcast, Julie shares why 🇵🇹 Portugal immediately felt like home — from its sense of safety and welcoming atmosphere to the beautiful architecture and relaxed way of life that captured her ❤️heart.

In the full episode, we go beyond Lisbon, Porto, and the Algarve to explore some of Portugal’s lesser-known destinations.

From medieval villages and charming small towns to scenic walking trails, mountain landscapes, and Portugal’s only national park, Julie shares some of her favorite places for travelers looking to get beyond the usual stops.

If you’re curious about a different side of Portugal, this episode is packed with inspiration.

Some pics from my first days here in the Keswick area of the North Lake District in England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

The weather has been a bit rainy, but there have been some bright spots.

I’ve been able to go up Latrigg Fell, visit Castlerigg Stone Circle and walk up to Walla Crag.

I’ve also wondered about Keswick a wee bit.

It’s an absolutely 😍 beautiful area!

I’m looking forward to exploring more over the next week or so.

🤞 Fingers crossed for good weather.

Arrived in Keswick in the northern Lake District of England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 yesterday.

It’s been quite rainy, but it is beautiful.

I haven’t got out to explore yet as I am still recovering from the busy Wander Your Way Adventure in 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 Scotland.

But tomorrow, I hope to get out for a short walk as I move to a holiday cottage for a week.

I’m ready to have my own kitchen and be in one spot for more than a couple of days.

Stay tuned as I explore a new place!
