Throughout the day, today crews have been working to place a temporary transformer at an electric substation. A few weeks ago a squirrel caused a transformer to blow and it is now being sent off for repairs. Crews worked at two substation locations on Washington Street throughout the day.

Emergency abatement of Anderson TBA at northeast corner of Locust and Calhoun Street. North wall collapsed about 4:40 PM Wednesday, followed by the roof collapsing about two hours later. Fire department is controlling dust through the use of water during demolition. Streets will remain blocked off in the area throughout the night.

A great evening to visit Bob’s Christmas Village!!! To reach the display, travel for seven miles west on Missouri Route 190 and turn right on Route A. The Christmas Village will be at the first house on the right side of the road. As in the past, the Christmas Village will welcome visitors from 5 until 10 p.m. each evening through New Year’s Eve.
