The Dragon Boat Festival, also known as Duanwu Jie or Tuen Ng, is a prominent Chinese holiday celebrated on the fifth day of the fifth lunar month, typically in May or June. With a history stretching back at least 1,500 years, it ranks among the three most important "festivals of the living," alongside the Chinese New Year and the Mid-Autumn Festival.

On 6.19.26, the Asian Pacific Islander & Desi American Resource Center, Black Resource Center, and El Centro will be closed in observance of this important day in history.

Juneteenth marks the day freedom finally reached all enslaved people in the United States, a moment worth pausing to reflect on and celebrate!
