Chico Striders

Non-Profit Youth Running Club The Chico Striders club was founded following a pilot program launched by Fleet Feet in the summer of 2017.

We had 19 kids ranging in ages of 6 to 13 and we trained for the Summer Sizzler 5K. We built the Striders up to three to four mile runs while emphasizing good form running, nutrition, goal setting, with plenty of awesome running games along the way. We have a fantastic group of dedicated and energetic coaches. If you have a child who enjoys running please visit our Contact Us tab. Another special night celebrating our graduating high school track and cross country athletes! Each athlete was awarded a $1,000 scholarship. Thank you .run.club , the Original A-Team and many more!

This week we're celebrating an incredible season, recognizing our graduating 8th-grade Striders, and awarding six Run Strong Scholarships to local high school athletes as they begin their college journeys.

We're also excited to announce that registration is now OPEN for the Run Like a Hero 4th of July 5K! 🇺🇸 Whether you're running, walking, or cheering from the sidelines, we hope you'll join us for one of Chico's favorite Independence Day traditions.

Join us for a fun FREE 5k sponsored by Brooks Running.

Celebrate Global Running Day on Wednesday June 3rd with us at Fleet Feet Chico. This is a celebration of the activity that we all love and that brings our community together! We are inviting all runners and walkers to join us for a fun morning running and walking from our local Fleet Feet through our beautiful surrounding streets and park.

To make this event even more special we will be partnering with the Chico Striders to help celebrate deserving graduating high school seniors with a scholarship from the Run Strong Program. Before our run we will have a short ceremony awarding the scholarship and learning more about their future educational plans.

This run will take place at Fleet Feet Chico, (241 Main St.) with a fun pre routed 5k course that will finish back at the store for a fun post run social with a delicious ice cream bar from Shubert's Ice Cream.

Festivities will start at 5:30pm with the run kicking off at 6:00pm

Registration is used to sign our event waiver and provide a headcount for Ice cream!
