3rd Annual Dr. Bowman Memorial Recital If you are interested and available to perform at the 3rd Annual Dr. Bowman Memorial Recital on Saturday, March 28 at 6 PM, please fill out this form! We recommend not playing pieces over seven minutes long so we can include as many performers as possible.

Young Artist Auditions - North State Symphony NSS invites Northern California music educators to encourage their students to participate in the annual Young Artist Auditions.

Music at the Monca Museum, Sunday, 30th November 3pm
‘Music is better together’, Part of the monca Healing Series and presented by Vianna Boring and Yoshie Muratani

Would you like to perform with a friend? Or more? This public recital will showcase students from a variety of musical
studios across the local area. From the beginner to the advanced, this series will offer local students an opportunity to
perform in a friendly and supportive environment.

The theme for this recital is focused on playing with others. So the criteria is:
1. You and a friend would like to play a duet (There is a piano at the museum)
2. You and a few friends would like to play chamber music or a piece/song for multiple players
3. No longer than 5 minutes in duration

• You will be notified by Wednesday 19th November if you have been selected but we

Diego Bustamante from Paradise, CA, has been an active performer throughout Northern California, appearing as a solo artist, chamber musician, collaborative pianist, and concerto soloist. Appearances include performing with the North State Symphony and the University of the Pacific Symphony Orchestra, as well as multiple chamber music concerts in Chico and Redding. In 2024, Diego received his Master’s degree in Piano Pedagogy and Performance from Westminster Choir College in Lawrenceville, New Jersey, where he studied with Dr. James Goldsworthy and held a graduate assistantship as a rehearsal pianist for their opera program. In 2021, Diego received his Bachelor’s degree in Piano Performance from University of the Pacific Conservatory of Music in Stockton, where he studied with Professor Frank Wiens and Dr. Sonia Leong. Before beginning his college career, Diego studied with the late and beloved Dr. Robert Bowman in Chico. Currently a Modesto resident, he works as a collaborative pianist for Opera Modesto, Stanislaus State University, Modesto Junior College, and multiple high schools; and also teaches piano at Pacific Community Music School and as a private teacher. Aside from his passion for music, he is also an avid birder and overall nature enthusiast.

Two MTAC members, Vianna Boring and Yoshie Muratani, are organizing a performance opportunity for students of all ages and skill levels to play in ensembles at MONCA for "Music at the Museum: Playing with Others" on Sunday afternoon April 27.
