Kalpulli wants to give a heartfelt THANK YOU!

To all our sponsors, attendees, and everyone who shared and supported our event. We are incredibly grateful.

Because of your generosity, we raised $3,120!

And welcomed over 130 people for an unforgettable night of community.

We also appreciate the patience and understanding from those we had to turn away due to reaching capacity.

We truly couldn’t have done this without you. Your support allows us to continue helping families directly ❤️

And we’re just getting started… Get ready for a bigger and better Lotería Night coming soon. Built from everything we learned together.

Kalpulli Across Borders is a nonprofit helping families rebuild after deportation. 🙌

• 💛 Support families with rent, groceries & urgent needs when a loved one is removed.

• 🏠 Provide shelter & care for DACA-mented deported folks with nowhere to go.

• 🤝 Build a support network of volunteers, donors & impacted communities on both sides of the border.

Because deportation doesn’t just separate, it shakes families emotionally & financially.

➡️ Follow on all social media platforms to join our mission.

💛 We want to share Denisse’s story 💛

We would like to share the story of Denisse, a mother and wife whom we have been able to support thanks to the donations received over the past few months.

Denisse’s husband was deported, and just a few days later, she received devastating news: she was diagnosed with cancer. Denisse is the mother of two daughters and is also currently pregnant.

In the face of this incredibly difficult reality, Kalpulli Across Borders has been able to help by covering immediate expenses in November, and we have committed to paying her rent for the month of January. Our commitment is to continue walking alongside her and supporting her as she fights for her family and for her life.

👉 We invite you to visit our website to learn more about our organization and the work we do.

We support families affected by deportation by helping cover basic living costs, because we know that even when a loved one is deported, the bills do not stop.

🙏 Your support can make a difference.

Thank you in advance for helping us share.

The stark figure — over 70% of ICE detainees are held without a criminal conviction. This exposes a critical truth — the “War on Crime” was never about public safety. It has always been a tool of state power.

The concept of “crime” historically is a politically charged construct, describe by organizer and National Co- Coordinator of The Black Alliance For Peace, as a modern-day Trojan Horse, meticulously engineered to legitimize the expansion of control over vulnerable populations, both at home and abroad.

The power to define “crime” is the state’s most effective weapon. It is a method used to expand budgets, deploy forces, build cages, destabilizes nations, and frames oppression as “order.”

The problem isn’t crime.
The problem is how the state uses the idea of crime to justify its power.
