Sometimes the hardest part of decluttering isn't letting go of the clothing. It's letting go of the version of ourselves attached to it.

Because clothes don't just cover us. They witness our journeys.

In this powerful reflection, Dr. Dawnn Karen reminds us that our closets often hold more than garments—they hold memories, milestones, aspirations, and identities we've carried throughout different seasons of life.

In the first episode of Closets as Culture, Dr. Karen joins ReBloom Global founder Melinda Jordan to explore the psychology behind what we wear, why certain pieces are so difficult to part with, and how resale can help transform letting go into a meaningful next chapter for both the garment and its next owner.

✨ Watch the full conversation and discover how style can become a tool for self-awareness, growth, and intentional living.

How many pieces in your closet are waiting for "someday"?

When Melinda asked Dr. Dawnn Karen about the clothes we buy and promise ourselves we'll wear one day, the conversation quickly shifted to something deeper: intention, overconsumption, and the stories we tell ourselves through shopping.

Maybe the answer isn't another purchase.

Maybe it's understanding why we're buying in the first place.

What separates personal style from simply buying more clothes?

On an upcoming episode of Closet as Culture, ReBloom Founder and CEO Melinda Jordan is joined by Lora LaPratt—nationally recognized personal stylist, fashion editor, and founder of Shopping Girl XOXO.

Known for helping women uncover a style that reflects who they truly are, Lora believes the best wardrobes aren't built through endless shopping—they're created through intention, self-awareness, and a deep understanding of what makes each person feel confident and authentic.

Together, they'll unpack the difference between style and consumption, the shopping habits women are navigating today, how to build a wardrobe that works harder with less, and why personal expression matters more than ever in a culture driven by constant trends.

At ReBloom, we believe that style isn't about having more—it's about making thoughtful choices that align with who you are and how you want to show up in the world.

This is a conversation for anyone who's ever wondered whether they're building a personal style—or simply keeping up.

✨ Coming soon. Stay tuned. ✨

✨ What do our closets reveal about who we are, where we've been, and who we're becoming?

Tomorrow, we're launching the very first episode of Closets as Culture, a new conversation series exploring the deeper stories behind fashion, identity, sustainability, and personal transformation.

Our inaugural guest is Dr. Dawnn Karen, pioneer of Fashion Psychology® and author of Dress Your Best Life. We dive into the emotional connections we have with our clothing, why letting go can be so difficult, how what we wear influences how we feel, and the powerful role resale can play in our personal journeys.

Because a closet is never just a closet, it's a collection of memories, aspirations, transitions, and possibilities.

🎙️ Episode 1 drops tomorrow!

✨ A gentle reminder: growth often begins with making room.

As your life evolves, your wardrobe should too. Releasing pieces that no longer serve you isn't a loss—it's an opportunity to give them new life, new purpose, and new value through someone else's story.

"Maybe I didn't cause these things to happen to me. But I can be the effect, and I can get myself out of this by way of my attire."
— Dr. Dawnn Karen

In our first installment of Closets as Culture, Dr. Dawnn Karen, the pioneer of Fashion Psychology® and author of Dress Your Best Life, joins ReBloom founder Melinda Jordan for a powerful conversation on identity, healing, transitions, and the hidden psychology behind what we wear.

Some spaces remind you that fashion is never just about clothes.

During her visit to Thrift Lab at the Griffin Museum of Science & Industry in Chicago, Melinda experienced how thrift culture, costume design, sustainability, and art can all exist in the same conversation.

From vendors reinventing secondhand materials into entirely new pieces to seeing a museum embrace resale culture in such a thoughtful way, the event reflected something bigger happening in fashion right now: people are beginning to see value, creativity, and storytelling in what already exists.

Because sometimes reinvention says more than something brand new ever could✨
