There’s something so beautiful about being born the day after your child. You can leave up all the decorations, reuse the number 3 candle (this year), and enjoy your prosecco while eating leftover tiramisu cake. Also, shoutout to my New York 🙃

I’ve always felt incredibly proud of my children’s father’s side of the family. Sipsik — a character created by my late father-in-law long before I was even an idea in my own parents’ minds — is now going to be printed on the Estonian 2 Euro coin.
There’s something deeply moving about knowing that this little character, so woven into Estonian culture and childhood, will now travel far beyond Estonia into every corner of the Eurozone.
And my children carry that legacy in their blood. Half of that DNA. Half of that story.
The other side of the story… is the other side of the story.

Being a mom has been the hardest — and the most rewarding — experience of my life. I raised them by myself while also raising myself at the same time, and for so long, it has been just the three of us.
They have grown into such wonderful humans — talented, caring, respectful, curious, and kind. And I did it all on my own, 100%.
For the first time, I can truly say: I’m so incredibly proud of myself. And finally, I’ve learned to treat myself like a queen.
