I just got off a conference call with my mother Armina (91) and uncle Haig (97) sharing our feelings about the news: President Biden became the first president to officially acknowledge the Armenian genocide, 106 years after it began. Here are 2 videos documenting the creation of Armenia (Hayasdan), a monumental painting I created in 6 years ago to commemorate the centennial. Genocidewatch.com identifies 11 genocide emergencies, i.e. genocides happening as I type.

Pleased to share news of Oscar Tatosian's appointment as Honorary Consul General for the new Armenia Consulate in Chicago! Congratulations, Oscar!
We are pleased to announce that Armenia will soon establish a Consular Post - Honorary Consulate in Chicago with a Consular District covering Midwestern United States. Today, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia appointed Mr. Oscar Tatosian to serve as Armenia’s Honorary Consul in Chicago. The Chicago Consular office thus becomes Armenia’s third Honorary Consulate in USA, following the offices established in Fresno and Las Vegas in 2014 and 2015 respectively.
Congratulations to Mr. Oscar Tatosian, who comes from a business background and brings to the job his numerous talents, years of experience and community service.

THE BAMBIR is back in Chicago after a tour to SXSW and California. See them perform tomorrow 4/28 at Richard J. Daley Center . Also, Friday is the last day to see the installation of my painting "Armenia." Thanks to everyone who came out to support Armenia Under the Picasso!
