As some of you may know SB 244 is an anti-trans bill passed into law by the Kansas state legislature on Feb. 26th. This is just the latest push in a series of implausible policies being introduced by hate-filled lawmakers across the country in recent months, targeting trans individuals in such core areas of life including healthcare, education, employment and access to safe bathrooms. All because ~difference frightens them so very much. You’re not a strong individual if you feel the need to shove an agenda that directly harms and impacts others’ freedoms down the throat of society. It actually makes you quite weak and insecure.

I have the coolest sibling around. I owe most of what I do in this little life to her going out and experiencing things first for us both. Whether it was little league, picking up our first instruments, finding a love for the stage through theater, or discovering our favorite movies, tv shows, books and video games - my sister did it all for us.

This song isn’t actually out yet, and this is just a snippet. But I just wanted to say thank you for now. There’s a lot of remarkable and resilient communities out there affected by legislators that are hell-bent on building worlds rooted in discriminatory ideology and they need our help & support now more than ever. I tell ya it’s gonna feel really, really, really good when we overcome these laws, these bigots and this hate.
My sister’s courage to live authentically has brought our family closer together and has only made our home more open, honest and loving. Inclusivity & respect always 🖤
