Quick Wins: Episode 8 ⚡️

These are all home maintenance tasks you can tackle in under 10 minutes. Today, we’re giving the dryer a quick cleanup.

A full dryer vent cleaning takes a little longer (and yes, I have tutorials for that), but one of the easiest things you can do is vacuum around the lint trap housing. It’s amazing how much lint, dust, and mystery debris collects down there over time.

This inexpensive attachment kit makes the job so much easier and helps you reach spots your vacuum can’t get to on its own.

Comment KIT and I’ll send you the link.

I didn’t grow up with a handy dad, and I didn’t marry a handy partner. So if something needed to get fixed around the house, I had two choices: pay someone to do it or learn how to do it myself.

So I taught myself.

Over the last 13 years, I’ve tackled everything from fixing leaky toilets and unclogging drains to installing wallpaper, renovating rooms, and maintaining a 100-year-old home.

Now, I’m here to help other women realize they can do these things, too. You don’t need to know everything. You just need to be willing to learn.

Whether you’re here to fix a small problem, tackle a DIY project, or simply feel more confident as a homeowner, you’re in the right place.

Welcome, friends. 🤍

Quick Wins: Episode 7 ⚡️

Want to know if your bathroom fan is actually doing its job?

Try the toilet paper test. Hold a square of toilet paper up to the fan while it’s running. If the fan can’t hold it in place, there’s a good chance it’s clogged with dust and ready for a deep clean.

This is one of those home maintenance tasks that’s easy to forget about, but it can make a big difference in reducing moisture and humidity in your bathroom.

Comment FAN and I’ll send you my free tutorial.

It’s open-window season, which also means bug season. 🐜🪰

If unwanted guests are finding their way inside, take a look at your window screens. Even a small tear can let bugs sneak in.

The good news? Replacing the screen mesh is a surprisingly easy DIY that takes about 10 minutes and costs far less than replacing the entire screen.

Comment SCREEN and I’ll send you my free step-by-step tutorial.

I saw this trend from JULIA MARCUM · CLJ 🏡 and had to try it with our own backyard.

It’s hard to believe we’ve been enjoying this space for five years now. We’ve learned a lot about what was worth the investment, what has held up well, and what we’d do again in a heartbeat.

Comment YARD and I’ll send you links to everything we have back here.

Quick Wins: Episode 6 ⚡️

These are all home maintenance tasks you can knock out in less than 10 minutes.

If your faucet is spraying sideways, sputtering, or your water pressure suddenly seems low, don’t assume you need a new faucet. The aerator is often the culprit.
Mineral deposits and debris can build up over time, and a quick cleaning can have your faucet working like new again.

Comment KEY and I’ll send you a link to the inexpensive tool I use on several of my faucets.

I have plenty of storage in my office (which I love), but the bottom cabinets had become a total black hole. You know the kind where things go in and never come back out?

I finally installed a pull-out drawer system, and now I can actually see and reach everything inside. One of those simple upgrades that makes a huge difference in how a space functions.

Comment DRAWER and I’ll send you the exact system I used.

Quick Wins: Episode 5 ⚡️

These are all home maintenance tasks you can knock out in less than 10 minutes.

Today, we’re tackling a clogged P-trap. If your sink is draining slowly or backing up, there’s a good chance the culprit is hiding right underneath it. My kids have managed to send all kinds of mystery items down the drain over the years. This time, mine was mostly just a disgusting mix of hair and gunk. 😅

Scared to hang something heavy on your walls? I’ve got you covered.

If you’re not drilling into a stud, wall anchors are your best friend. The right anchor makes a HUGE difference when it comes to safely hanging shelves, mirrors, curtain rods, artwork, and more.

Comment ANCHOR and I’ll send you the exact ones I recommend + how to use them.

It’s tough to find outdoor patio furniture that lasts, but I’m so pleased with this umbrella. It’s sturdy, easy to use, and love that secret stripe underneath. Comment UMBRELLA to get a link sent your way.
