Today marks 3 years we said goodbye to Troopie. Not a day goes by that I don’t think of him. He and Mac are now together. 🙏

Got home from Florida and Dexter clearly missed me.

An oldie but goodie. Happy Easter from Mac. He’s no longer with us but this picture makes me smile. 😊

Meet the Pawsome’s new member, Dexter. He’s a sweet nugget and we are all smitten. He came to us with a congenital defect in his right eye. We tried everything to save it but it proved impossible. He’s a happy pirate that is absolutely adorable. 🥰

Friends - we desperately need your help!

Over the past three weeks, we've experienced a domino effect of structural, plumbing and electrical catastrophes at Felines & Canines. The brutal Chicago winter weather caused severe roof damage and overwhelmed our HVAC system, resulting in $11,000 worth of repairs. Last week, our original hot water heater and sump pumps gave out, causing flooding in our lower level dog kennels. We now need to replace both sump pumps, the water heater, and kennel flooring in dog isolation, totaling more than $24,000 in repairs. This is absolutely devastating to our program and I am frantically trying to raise funds to help cover the costs of these unexpected expenses.

We are nothing without a stable, fully-functional shelter, and we have more than 125 cats and dogs counting on us to keep them safe and comfortable. These repairs are essential and I must get them completed ASAP. If you are in a position to make a donation of any size, please, PLEASE consider doing so now.
