My son George and I braved the cold and snow to be at the Bears-Rams playoff game. Witnessed Caleb throw yet another amazing pass to tie the game. Second best moment I have ever experienced at a Bears home game. The best was and will always be Wilbur Marshall's fumble recovery for a TD to seal the 1985 NFC Championship and the Bears first trip to the Super Bowl. Disappointed that the Bears did not win but excited about the future of this team.

Happy to have my son George join me this morning for my train commute to downtown Chicago. It was George's first day in the office for his post college consulting job with Pinnacle Actuarial Resources.

Proud to celebrate my father's 50th anniversary of his induction into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. I was twelve years old at the time of his induction and was more caught up in the pomp and circumstance of the moment. For me the highlight of my father's induction was getting to travel to and back from Canton, OH in a GMC motor home (aka, "urban assault vehicle") that was featured in the movie "Stripes". Over the year's however I have had the privilege of attending multiple induction weekends and have gained a deep appreciation of my father's accomplishment and have witnessed the special bond the members of the Pro Football Hall of Fame share.

Happy to have my son Alan join me this morning for my train commute to downtown Chicago. It was Alan's first day in the office for his post college engineering job with Sargent & Lundy in their nuclear power division.

I won my family's NCAA men's basketball brackets group again this year and thus retained the prestigious Connor Cup trophy for another year. It was down to my son George who had Houston winning and me who had Florida winning. It should be noted that this is the third straight year that my son George has picked Houston to win. Each time Houston gets a little closer, maybe 2026 will be their year.

Who will win the "Connor Cup" trophy this year for most NCAA men's basketball tournament bracket points? Last year's champion (yours truly) being awarded the Connor Cup much to the chagrin of my son Alan.

Great Sunday with my son George. Attended the ND pep rally, met two ND football legends (Theisman and Brown) and visited the College Football Hall of Fame to get some inspiration from my father’s spirit- HOF Class of 1963 and member of the ND ‘46 and ‘47 national championship football teams. Go Irish beat Buckeyes!
